Turquie : plus de 1 400 personnes arrêtées depuis mercredi, dont six journalistes et un photographe de l’AFP incarcérés

Au total, 979 manifestants se trouvaient ce mardi en garde à vue, tandis que 478 personnes avaient été déférées devant des tribunaux, a annoncé le ministre turc de l’Intérieur.



Since Wednesday, over 1,400 people have been arrested in Turkey, including six journalists and an AFP photographer, due to protests sparked by the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu. A total of 979 protesters are in custody, and 478 have been brought before courts. Protests continue despite bans in major cities like Ankara, Izmir, and Istanbul. The Council of Europe has criticized the "disproportionate use of force."
